One year has passed, a year of development, new achievements and new friends in AEGEE-Yerevan.
The year 2011 has been fruitful in terms of creating and developing our youth organization which resulted in a lot of local and international youth projects organized by AEGEE-Yerevan and AEGEE-Europe.

On the 3rd of December 2011 the Junior Eurovision Song Contest was held in Yerevan: a unique and impressive show, concert and event, during which about 600 European guests visited Yerevan. During the incredible show young representatives of 13 European states presented their songs and contested for the title of the winner of JESC 2011. This was the first such type big European cultural event organized in the South Caucasus so far.
AEGEE-Yerevan, as one of the most active Armenian youth NGO’s, could not miss this unique opportunity to be involved in such big European project, even if as a visitor. AEGEE-Yerevan announced the training on youth unemployment and employment issues which was held at the Picasso hall of the Congress hotel on the 28th of January. Instead of 80 participants more than 150 attended. During the training CV & Motivation Letter techniques were introduced. Participants got basic knowledge how to pass successful interview with employers and informed about the different career, educational and voluntarism opportunities.
The event was attended by representatives from Career Orientation Center, German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD), International Research and Exchanges Board (IREX), Erasmus Mundus Programme and other organizations are invited to attend the day-long training.
Within the framework of “Youth Unemployment” project similar activities were organized in Sofia, Tirana, Gdansk, Istanbul, YEREVAN, Moscow, Barcelona, Lublin, Tbilisi, Skopje, Riga, and Izmir.
