Youth unEmployment Action Day 2012 is already over

On March 15, 2012 Youth Unemployment Action day organized by AEGEE Yerevan took place at Russian Armenian Slavonic University. At the beginning of the event Armenak Minasyants, the President of AEGEE-Yerevan, and Syuzanna Shamakhyan, the Head of the Department of International Affairs of the Slavonic University, made the opening speeches and welcomed the participants. Both speakers emphasized the importance of the project and wished to all participants successful event. According to the President of AEGEE-Yerevan such events help students to get some basic knowledge and skills before entering to the work market. He also emphasized that AEGEE-Yerevan always responds to all urgent issues which bother the society and particularly the youth and the Organization always strives to find solutions to the existing problems.

During the training session of the day 80 participants were presented tips and skills on how to write effective CV, winning motivation letter, how to undergo and “survive” job interview, as well as how to volunteer both within the boarders of Armenia as well as in the European states. Special session was devoted to the Labor Code of the Republic of Armenia and labor rights both for employees and employers. The training was organized within the scope of Youth Unemployment project implemented by AEGEE Europe starting from 2009 and was done in Yerevan already for the second time.
