Forget about youth unemployment

It is our pleasure to announce that AEGEE-Yerevan is organizing a training on youth unemployment and employment issues that will take place at Russian-Armenian (Slavonic) University on the 15th of March.
With this bad economy it is even harder to find a job or to get promoted, there is a huge competition for volunteering. And the situation is even worse for the youth, since you are required to have some experience in order to get a job, but where can you get that experience if any employer requires it. That is the reason we decided to organize this project, so that you won’t feel out of place in your country, so that you can find your dream job. How? We will show you how.
What can you expect from the event? Our specialists will teach you CV & Cover Letter techniques that are necessary for any student or a young professional. Also the participants will get basic knowledge on how to pass a job interview successfully, they will be informed about different career paths, educational and voluntarism opportunities in Armenia, and will have a separate workshop on RA Labor Code and labor Rights.
It is not the first time AEGEE-Yerevan is conducting Youth UnEmployment Porject in Armenia. Within the framework of “Youth Unemployment” project in 2011 similar activities are organized in Sofia, Tirana, Gdansk, Istanbul, YEREVAN, Moscow, Barcelona, Lublin, Tbilisi, Skopje, Riga, and Izmir.
Nowadays, the youth unemployment is a very serious problem. Unfortunately, being a straight A student does not guarantee that you will find a job after graduating. What are the reasons for youth unemployment? There are several: lack of particular skills, wrong educational system, mismatches between education and needs in labor market, lack of self confidence, lack of self esteem, and of course structural lack of working places.
If you are wondering how to succeed in life, how to have an amazing career, how to present yourself on a job market and how to write your CV, then this training is what you need.
