Model European Union

AEGEE-Yerevan NGO is launching an open call for the applications for the participation in the Model European Union which would be held during October 2011 at the Faculty of the International Relations and Diplomacy of Yerevan State University.
The theme of the MEU would be “Further Enlargement of the European Union” and it would offer college and university students, aged between 18-25, the chance to learn how the European Union works through a hands-on simulation.
At AMEUS we would simulate the meeting of the major institution of the European Union: the European Council and in general it would be the first Armenian European Union Model in the history.
Trainings would take place at the Best Western Congress Hotel and the main event at the Palyans’ Hall of the Faculty of the International Relations and Diplomacy of Yerevan State University.
All national delegations will have 2 members, made up as follows:
1 prime minister, who will be Head of Delegation
1 foreign minister, who will be Deputy Head of Delegation
At the closing ceremony, an award ceremony will be held to make awards for the Best Delegation and the Best Individual Delegates. The awards will be determined by a secret vote among delegates.
So, if you are interested in this conference and just want to get new knowledge about the European Union and about its institutions or you just want to be in the role of the European President or Prime Minister for one day, do not hesitate and apply right know.
There is no any participation fee for the whole event and trainings and the application form could be found here.

Application forms would be accepted till 12 September 2011 and the participants of the main event would be selected on the basis of their motivations and oral interview which would be held on 14-15 September 2011.

Conference and oral interview would be in English.
